Every actor shoots a new scene each week on a real set with a real crew. Scenes are edited and screened the following week for notes and critique. You build on-camera technique from day one — hitting marks, camera eye, physical and emotional continuity.
On-Set Training BeginsActors meet the four filmmakers who will create material tailored to them. Characters, plotlines, and tone are discussed using an in-depth questionnaire each actor completes. This is where it gets personal.
Scripts CommissionedEach actor receives four original short film screenplays — written for them, about them, designed to showcase exactly what they do best.
4 Scripts Per ActorActors work through their scripts with each respective director. Blocking, props, wardrobe, and production design are locked in. The machine is ready to roll.
Production Prep LockedTwelve shorts. Four directors. Four consecutive days on location. Full professional crew — DP, ACs, sound, makeup/hair, production designer, wardrobe, AD, gaffer, grips. Full catering and craft services. This is a real production.

🥂 Par-tay!Every Gym Shorts production deploys a full professional film crew — the same people you'll work with on a studio set.

Gym Shorts is a selective program. With only 6 actor spots per cycle, every participant is carefully chosen to ensure the right chemistry, range, and readiness for production.
